well.. the problem of social discrimination against HIV affected persons is a bigger evil than the caste syatem itself. i hope proper strategy to over come this evil, by more seminars-workshops involving the youth and everyone should be started

A very well written article that boils down to the real reason Human Rights Issues in the Fight against AIDS.

But I also want to add that throughout its history one of the main reason of spreading of AIDS is because of suppression of Human Rights. Forced or unchecked prostitution, sexual violence, stigma associated with homosexuals � all of these human rights violations have contributed more or less to the spread of AIDS.

I fully support the idea of suporting AIDS patients. I believe that Human Rights violation spread the further psychological suppression amongst the patients which is rather more harmful than AIDS itself.

i think the whole state of affairs that foregrounds in this kind of debate is of no importance. What we really need to do is to uplift ourselves from this by the awareness that has to be inculcated about AIDS among the people. Humans are not animals to be quarantined, they can be educated and made aware of the repercussions that can affect other people beacuse of a reckless or an unthought action. A more profound responsibility has to be generated inside the individuals for them to think about the scenario and inturn to help create awarneness by practicing it. Man has made the so called human rights doctrine, and i think people need to know the essence with which it was created. If even one individual is capable of thinking like this then he will respect other lives too. This is what needs to be inculcated in a situation like of AIDS.#postcomment

i agree with Mr Chawla. Aids patients need no sympathies, they need and are fuly entitled to dignity just like other human beings.In human rights discourse, talk of rights helps the cause, lets talk of their rights and better future will be there for them.
